    The Hearts & Heroes Challenge - two days to go!

    So, with only two days to go - here's just a little round up with the latest training & fundraising news, a few famous faces and a few reminders for the big day!

    In the next issue we plan to feature loads of your photos and personal stories from the Challenge so please keep them coming!

    The weather forecast is looking a little changeable - so please make sure that you check the kit lists on the Hearts & Heroes Challenge website & come prepared for all eventualities...

    Check out some of these fantastic shots from yesterday's photoshoot at Murrayfield. These are just some of the famous faces that you may encounter along the route... And if you see Stewart with his camera, please make sure that you smile, wave and give him a few words!

    First Buses Sponsorship

    Fundraising & Donations

    Thanks to First Group for the amazing 2000 GBP that they've donated. The cheque was presented to Hearts & Balls Director Jim Littlefair at Melrose RFC, having travelled in style on one of their buses!

    Dalkeith RFC continue to do great stuff - having raised over 500 GBP from several fundraising events. They have not finished yet however, after ribbing each other
    at the club dinner, two members of the board (who shall remain anonymous!) have now signed up for a sponsored slim in aid of the H&H effort, with both of them trying to lose 2st
    before the first league game of next season!

    Massive thanks to everyone for their continued fundraising in such a difficult climate.

    Last Preparations

    So, with final preparations underway & the carbohydrate loading just about to start - we thought we'd share this great gem of a training video from Team Horsetiger - this undoubtedly must be one of the reasons that they're doing so well with their sponsorship!

    9.00 am Runners & Bronze/Silver walkers start- St Mary's Loch
    4.30 pm Bar opens in the marquee
    6.00 pm Party officially begins in the marquee
    7.00 pm Music by the Prov Johnston Tribute Band
    9.00 pm Prize-giving
    9.15 pm - Midnight Dancing & Partying

    A few reminders..

    Registration - If you are able to register your team on Friday please do - we're expecting registration to be busier on Saturday morning so please allow plenty of time to do this if you plan to register then.

    Start Times - These have changed slightly as for safety we need to ensure that participants set off in two equal groups. The majority of Gold Walkers (with the exception of a couple of Army teams) will be starting at 7am with Runners and Bronze & Silver walkers starting at 9am.

    Disclaimers/Medical Forms - Many thanks to those who have managed to complete and return their disclaimers/medical forms. If your disclaimer/medical forms might have arrived with WildFox Events after Thursday lunchtime, please take a hard copy with you to registration. If were planning on bringing hard copies with you to registration, please remember to bring them, and if for some reason the email did not reach you, there will be a supply available for completion at registration but please allow extra time for this.

    Support Team Tickets for the After Party - we'd love to see as many of you at the party as possible - please purchase tickets for supporters when registering your team or immediatley after finishing.
